Why some answer sites disagree
A route can change one letter correctly and still fail in the official game if an intermediate word is absent from its accepted list. For example, an eight-move OMEN route circulating online uses POOS; that word was not present in the official 2,398-word graph we checked. The official distance map assigns OMEN a minimum distance of nine.
